'The God Concept' claims to be not about any religions but about logic. How does it work in practice?
All our awareness of the world we live in arises out of inputs generated by the five senses of seeing, hearing, touching, tasting and smelling. And we need to be in possession of consciousness to be aware of these inputs.
In the waking state, we have assumed ourselves to be our bodies and minds. But the awareness of the waking state doesn't get carried into the dreaming state or the deep sleep state. None of the characters or events in one state is seen to be present in the other two states, leading to the conclusion that our identities in waking and dreaming states are but temporary identities.
Yet, there is the presence of an overarching identity that is seen to be present in all the three states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep.
The book details clear and exhaustive explanation about this overarching identity or Consciousness and suggests that it is indeed our real self, not the body or mind that we have been thinking of as ourselves so far.
The book explains the Infinite nature of this Consciousness and its universality in range and extent.
Additionally, by means of the Theory of Subject-Object identification, further proof is presented about this Consciousness as being the Ultimate Seer in me.
That's some logic!
