NEW BOOK LAUNCH
By H. Chidambaram

“Aham Brahmaasmi”. Most people in India would have heard this declaration at some or other point in their lives. It appears in the holy books of the Hindu religion. Ask people what it means, and they would say, “It means ‘I am the Infinite’”. “How am I the Infinite?” Press for an explanation, and most of them would become evasive: “This is what our Gurus tell us to believe in. We trust our Gurus.” Read More

"THE GOD CONCEPT" - SCHEMA

This tutorial can be seen to follow the following schema:
-
The initial sections give a short introduction to the fundamentals of the Hindu religion and its basic concepts. This helps even a new reader to understand the subsequent theme developed in the book.
-
The concept of Self as one with the Infinite is stated up front. A sceptic may be shocked by this, and he may find numerous flaws in this section; he may even drop out and stop going deeper into the book at this stage! That would be a pity!
-
The arguments of how the Infinite is really the Self in each of us, and how this Infinite relates with, and encompasses, every one of us is developed in the subsequent pages.
-
The language is kept simple, and the enunciation of the logic of arguments is almost like a mathematical formula being developed! Very abstract concepts of Vedanta are stripped of their mystery.
-
This style of the discourse results in very deep understanding of the subject under discussion.
Other features of note are:
-
Large fonts in easy-to-read format, helpful even for elderly readers;
-
Language of the discourse is maintained conversational, and easy to follow for readers of all ages.
-
The book is designed to appeal to the modern younger generation who may be averse to reading subjects of religion and philosophy but are comfortable with more scientifically developed logic that does not involve having to believe in any particular religious dogma.
